Service on demand (SoD) - is a model of service sale and deployment whereby a vendor provides service support remotely. Under this model:
Under SoD, client pays the rent of service. Thus, in contrast to the classical scheme, the customer bears relatively small recurrent expenses, and there is no need to invest substantial funds for the purchase of service and to ensure its efficiency. Periodic payment scheme assumes that if the need for this service is not available, the employer may suspend its use and freeze payments to the developer.
SoD model helps reduce deployment costs for implementation of technical and advisory support, although it does not exclude these completely.
